İstatistiklerde ürkütücü olan: Eğer dünyadaki her kadın ilk ve orta eğitim almış olsaydı, 3 milyon insan hayatı kurtarılarak çocuk ölümleri yarı yarıya kesilmiş olurdu. 8 yıllık eğitimi alan bir kızın çocuk yaşta zorla evlendirilmesi dört kat daha az olasıdır. Eğer bir kız fazladan bir yıl daha eğitim alırsa, yetişkin olduğunda yüzde 20 daha fazla kazanabilir.
